Return & Exchange Policy

Platform: Snout Swap

At Snout Swap, we aim to create a safe, fair, and transparent marketplace for rentals and second-hand purchases. Since we are a peer-to-peer platform, all items are listed directly by users. Please read this policy carefully before making a transaction.

1. Applicability

  • This policy applies only to purchases of second-hand products with delivery.
  • Rentals are not covered under this policy and are governed separately under the Rental & Cancellation Policy.
  • Exchanges are not guaranteed since items are one-of-a-kind, but in some cases, users may negotiate with sellers directly.

2. Second-Hand Products (With Delivery)

All second-hand items are sold “as-is”. Returns are accepted only if:

  • The item is significantly different from the description or photos provided by the seller.
  • The item is damaged/non-functional and the seller failed to disclose this in the listing.
  • Minor cosmetic issues (scratches, normal wear and tear, small defects) will not qualify for a return.
  • Buyers must raise a return request within 48 hours of delivery via the Snout Swap app or by emailing support@snoutswap.com.

3. Rental Items (No Delivery)

  • Since rental items are picked up and returned locally, Snout Swap does not allow returns or exchanges once a rental has begun.
  • If the item is not as described, renters should refuse pickup and request a cancellation before payment is finalized.

4. Process for Returns (Second-Hand Products)

  • Buyer submits a return request within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Snout Swap reviews the claim and may request photos/videos of the product.
  • If approved:
    • The item must be shipped back to the seller in its original condition.
    • Once the seller confirms receipt, a refund (excluding delivery charges and service fees) will be processed.
  • If rejected, the transaction is considered final and closed.

5. Non-Returnable Items

The following are non-returnable:

  • Rentals (after pickup).
  • Second-hand items accurately described but not to the buyer’s liking.
  • Items damaged by the buyer after delivery.
  • Personal care items, intimate wear, food, or hygiene-related products.

6. Exchange Policy

  • Since items are unique, exchanges are generally not possible.
  • In rare cases, if both buyer and seller agree, Snout Swap may facilitate an exchange of items, but this is not guaranteed.

7. Liability

  • Snout Swap is a facilitator only and does not guarantee item quality or condition.
  • The seller is responsible for accurate descriptions.
  • Snout Swap’s role is limited to assisting in disputes and processing payments/refunds where eligible.
